Inleiding

De aanbevelingen en onderbouwing in deze kwaliteitsstandaard zijn voor zover mogelijk gebaseerd op evidence uit gepubliceerd wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Relevante artikelen werden gezocht door het uitvoeren van uitgebreide systematische zoekacties voor de vijf bijnieraandoeningen. Er werd gezocht in de Cochrane database, Medline, Pubmed en Embase van januari 1990 tot januari 2016.

Voor de uitgangsvragen werd met behulp van zoektermen (Medical Subject Headings en Title/Abstract) doelgroep, determinant en uitkomst afgebakend. Van de artikelen die daarbij werden verkregen werden de relevante artikelen in Engels en Duits en die waarvan de fulltext beschikbaar was, bestudeerd. Daarnaast werden waar nodig artikelen geëxtraheerd van referentielijsten bij andere artikelen. In de tabellen hieronder is per bijnieraandoening en per module aangegeven met welke zoektermen is gezocht.
